Never tried energy healing before? Good.

Your First Energy Healing Session on the Sunshine Coast

Most people who come to me aren't sure what to expect. They just know something hasn't shifted yet, and they're ready to try something different.

You don't need to believe in anything for this to work. You just need to be willing to lie down and see what happens.

A lot of people who book their first session with me have never done anything like this before. Some have tried everything else and are quietly wondering if this might be the thing they've been missing. Some have been curious for years but weren't sure if it was "for them." Some have been nudged by a friend who came and didn't know how to explain what shifted, only that something did.

All of that is fine. There's no right way to arrive.

What I've noticed is that the people who get the most from these sessions aren't the ones who come in as true believers. They're the ones who come in with an open mind and something real they're carrying, whether that's anxiety that won't settle, exhaustion that sleep doesn't fix, grief, a sense of being stuck, or a feeling that's hard to name but impossible to ignore.

If any of that sounds like you, read on. I'll walk you through exactly what to expect.

What actually happens in a session

1

We have a short conversation first

Before anything else, we sit down and talk. I'll ask what's brought you in and what you'd like to focus on. There's no pressure to have a clear answer. Sometimes people say "I just feel off" or "I've been exhausted for months" and that's more than enough to start with. This part usually takes about 10 minutes.

2

You lie down, fully clothed

For Reiki and Access Bars, you'll lie on a comfortable massage table, close your eyes, and relax. Some people fall asleep within minutes. Your only job is to be still and comfortable.
Kinesiology is a little different - you'll still lie on the table for much of the session, but there'll be some back and forth between us. I'll guide you through muscle testing, which involves gentle pressure on your arm or leg, and we may pause to talk about what comes up. It's relaxed, not clinical, but it's more interactive than a rest - more of a conversation.

3

I work with your energy

What happens here depends on which session you've booked.
With Reiki, I'll place my hands gently on or just above different areas of your body, following where the energy needs to go.
With Access Bars, I'll lightly touch 32 specific points on your head — you just lie still and let the process happen.
With Kinesiology, we work more actively together: I'll use gentle muscle testing to find where energy is blocked, then use a range of techniques to restore balance. All three are quiet, unhurried, and done fully clothed. There's no right way to experience any of them.

4

We close with a check-in

At the end I'll gently bring you back. I'll share anything intuitive I noticed during the session, and you'll have a chance to ask questions or just sit quietly for a moment. Most people feel noticeably different by this point. Some feel ready to take on the world. Some feel like they could sleep for a week. Both are good signs.

What you might notice

Everyone's experience is different. Here's what people commonly notice, both during and in the days after their first session.

star lines

Warmth or tingling

Many people feel heat moving through parts of their body, or a gentle tingling sensation, even when my hands aren't physically touching them.

star lines

Deep relaxation

The kind you haven't felt in a while. Some people describe it as the first time they've properly switched off in months. Some fall asleep entirely.

star lines

Emotional release

Sometimes tears come, not from distress, just from something finally being allowed to move. This is completely normal and always welcome.

star lines

Lightness afterward

The most common thing people say when they sit up is "I feel lighter." Like something they'd been holding has been set down for a moment.

star lines

Continued shifts over days

The session doesn't end when you leave. Many people notice sleep improving, anxiety softening, or clarity arriving in the days that follow.

star lines

Sometimes, not much at all

Occasionally someone feels very little in the room and then notices significant changes over the following week. The work is still happening, just quietly.

Ready when you are

You don't need to have it all figured out before you book. If something on this page has resonated, that's usually enough.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to believe in energy healing for it to work?

No. Scepticism is completely fine and honestly quite welcome. What matters is that you're open to the experience, not that you've decided in advance what it means. Many of my most powerful sessions have been with people who came in unconvinced.

What should I wear?

Whatever you're comfortable in. Loose, comfortable clothing is ideal, but there's genuinely no dress code. You stay fully clothed throughout the entire session.

Is it safe if I'm going through something difficult emotionally?

Yes. These sessions can be deeply supportive during hard times, including grief, anxiety, burnout, or periods of major transition. If you're currently working with a therapist or counsellor, sessions with me can sit alongside that work really well. If you're in crisis or experiencing a mental health emergency, please reach out to a mental health professional first.

How will I feel afterward? Can I drive home?

Most people feel very relaxed, sometimes deeply so, after a session. You'll be fine to drive, but I'd encourage you to take your time, have a glass of water, and be gentle with yourself for the rest of the day if you can. Avoid planning anything stressful or high-energy immediately afterward.

How many sessions will I need?

There's no one-size-fits-all answer. Some people feel a significant shift after a single session and come back occasionally for maintenance. Others come regularly as part of an ongoing practice of looking after themselves. I'll always be honest with you about what I'm noticing and what might be helpful, and I'll never push you toward more sessions than feel right.

Can I do a session remotely?

Yes. Remote sessions work just as well as in-person. You find a quiet space where you won't be interrupted, and I connect with your energy from wherever I am. We speak briefly beforehand and I share any guidance afterward. Many clients who started in person now do all their sessions remotely, especially those not based on the Sunshine Coast.

What's the difference between Reiki, Kinesiology, and Access Bars?

They're all energy-based, but they work differently. Reiki works with universal life force energy, guiding your system into a deep state of rest and allowing healing to occur naturally. Kinesiology uses muscle testing to find where energy is blocked and works to restore balance physically, emotionally and mentally. Access Bars involves light touch on 32 points on the head to release stored thoughts, feelings and patterns that are running in the background. Not sure which is right for you? Feel free to reach out before booking and I'll help you find the best starting point.

What I won't promise you

I think it's worth being honest about this, because I'd rather you come in with realistic expectations than feel let down.

Energy healing is not a substitute for medical or psychological care. If you have a diagnosed condition, a mental health crisis, or a medical issue that needs attention, please keep working with your healthcare providers alongside whatever we do here.

What I can offer is something different from what medicine typically offers: a safe, unhurried space for your nervous system to settle, for things that have been stuck to start moving, and for you to feel more like yourself again.

  • I won't diagnose, treat, or cure any condition
  • I won't tell you to stop any medication or treatment you're receiving
  • Results vary from person to person, and I won't oversell what one session can do
  • I will always be straightforward with you about what I notice and what might help
